Hyde Park Labs Tour

Hyde Park Labs is a 300,000-plus square foot commercial lab facility, developed as the second phase of Harper Court, 53rd Street’s flagship mixed-use commercial retail, office, and hotel development.

Hyde Park Labs provides access to state-of-the-art laboratory and office space near both the University of Chicago’s main campus and the University of Chicago Medical Center.

UChicago Science Incubator

The fifth floor of Hyde Park Labs will be home to the UChicago Science Incubator, scheduled to open in June.
The incubator will support early-stage companies in:

• Life sciences

• Quantum

• Artificial intelligence

• Clean tech

Its mission is to help innovators translate their ideas into commercial opportunities.

Guided Tour and Overview

The program will feature:

• Angelica Marks, Associate Vice President, Real Estate Operations, University of Chicago

• Raul Vásquez, Executive Director, UChicago Science Incubator

They will provide a brief history of the Hyde Park Labs project and the 53rd Street Commercial Corridor, along with an overview and tour of the Science Incubator.

MEMBER SUPPORT FUND

The LAI Chicago Region Chapter Member Support Fund is available to members who serve nonprofit organizations, public agencies, academic institutions, or those who in a professional employment transition to help offset the cost of attendance at chapter events and membership dues. The goal of the fund is to make Chapter events and activities more accessible and encourage attendance and engagement. In some instances, guests of members may also be eligible to receive these funds.
