Loop Re-Positioning Walking Tour, Part II 79 W. Monroe, Chicago
EVENT SUMMARY
As a follow-up to last year’s presentation of the Thompson Center, 135 S. LaSalle, 30 N. LaSalle and 208 S. LaSalle, join us on the afternoon of May 20th for a tour of 79 W. Monroe and 105 W. Adams with presentations from the developers and a panel of industry experts. This program will highlight the exciting progress of the additional LaSalle Street Initiative projects, and what it took to get to this point. The conversation will continue afterwards at The Sterling Food Hall bar for beverages and light bites.

MEMBER SUPPORT FUND
The LAI Chicago Region Chapter Member Support Fund is available to members who serve nonprofit organizations, public agencies, academic institutions, or those who in a professional employment transition to help offset the cost of attendance at chapter events and membership dues. The goal of the fund is to make Chapter events and activities more accessible and encourage attendance and engagement. In some instances, guests of members may also be eligible to receive these funds.

For this pop-up LAI Chicago Region event, leadership will facilitate an engaging speed networking activity for both members and guests! Following, LAI Chicago will detail the new member application process which ends the next day on May 28th. Light refreshments and a Cheese Maven charcuterie board provided.

LAI Summer Tour Chicago Union Station Hosted by Amtrak 500 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago
LAI Chicago invites our members to an exclusive tour of the improvements implemented at Chicago's historic Union Station. This tour includes breakfast, a presentation on the History of Union Station, recent renovations and upgrades, an overview of the Chicago Hub Improvement Program (CHIP), and plans underway for the Station. Learn how Union Station upgrades will contribute to economic development throughout the city, region, and state, then join us for a walking tour of the station.

ABOUT THE TOUR GUIDES
Suzanne Mosher, LAI class of 2015
Suzanne Mosher, AIA, PMP, LEED AP, serves as Senior Program Director in Amtrak’s Capital Delivery department overseeing the $3B+ Chicago Hub Improvement Program (CHIP). Ms. Mosher’s responsibilities include leading a team of program managers and expert consulting resources, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and resolving key issues and constraints that arise throughout multi-year improvement programs. CHIP includes a wide range of projects including infrastructure and station related projects.
Teresa Fourcher, LAI class of 2012
Teresa Fourcher, AIA, PMP, LEED AP, serves as Program Director in Amtrak’s Capital Delivery department overseeing the Chicago Union Station Portfolio for CHIP. Ms. Fourcher works with the managers and stakeholders to deliver projects from concept through construction. Notable projects within Ms. Fourcher’s portfolio at Chicago Union Station include the construction of the Passenger Platform 30-38 (former Mail Platform); the Concourse Improvement Project; and Platform Widening and Trainshed Ventilation Improvements.
Ms. Fourcher has a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a licensed architect in the state of Illinois, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Wally Kruce, LEED AP, is a Senior Program Manager leading the Concourse Improvement Project with a focus on safety, state of good repair, and modernization. With more than 20 years of experience spanning transportation infrastructure, aviation, real estate, and construction, he has held leadership roles as General Manager of O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 5 and Chicago Union Station. Previously, Wally oversaw Union Station's $13 million operating budget and more than $50 million in capital projects, including restoration and adaptive reuse of key spaces in the Station’s historic Great Hall.
Mr. Kruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is a Real Property Administrator through BOMI and a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council.
