In this first of a multi-part series exploring AI and its impacts on the real estate industry and land economics, University of Chicago Professor Sanjay Krishnan and Chief Information Officer Kevin Boyd demystify the fundamentals of generative AI and highlight its potential in driving sustainable, data-driven urban development. They also discuss recent computing advances, like the new Deep Seek model, while examining how AI can transform economic strategies for land use, and development decisions.

MEMBER SUPPORT FUND
The LAI Chicago Region Chapter Member Support Fund is available to members who serve nonprofit organizations, public agencies, academic institutions, or those who in a professional employment transition to help offset the cost of attendance at chapter events and membership dues. The goal of the fund is to make Chapter events and activities more accessible and encourage attendance and engagement. In some instances, guests of members may also be eligible to receive these funds.
